Have received a huge amount of emails from you guys about Gooseberry. Just added an Faq to try and answer some of the common questions. We will try and answer your messages as soon as possible but it may take a few days, so be patient!
when is possible buy the product?
Check the Faq!
Is there a real time clock? Or the possibility to add one?
Yes, there is a real time clock!
I registered my interest on the original post. Is there anything else I need to do?
I really love this board, I just sent you a mail, if I could take some photos of this device
Whats power consumption like?
It could be around the same like the raspberry pi, I’m sure it will be less than a tablet or smartphone needs.
Yes,power consumption will be less than 5 watts. Most likely 3.5-4 depending on what tasks the board is carrying out.
I am really excited about this!
What is max resolution out?
Will there be sound via hdmi?
I think its a bit troublesome that you dont know about the gpio’s.
Do you not design them yourself?
I think it will be 1920 x 1080, because the Pi is also capable of this resolution with less power
Sound over Hdmi on android. Ubuntu doesn’t have any audio at all yet.Theorectically, the board should handle 2k resolution although may be slightly choppy. Will have to test. 1080p is handled superbly by the way
Hello to the GooseBerry.
This Project is very very cool.
I registered my Interest and I’m
looking forward to program that
greetings from Germany
I can’t find this thing’s price anywhere, only the shipping cost. How much does it cost?
Quote of the FAQ:
How much will it cost?
The Gooseberry board is aimed to be sold at £40 with a charger. Please note, if you live outside of the EU, additional import taxes may apply.
That would be around 63$, next time, please check the FAQ
What about the price??
That would be around 63$, next time, please check the FAQ, the one above you already asked the same.
Hi! Congrats! It’s a very good project!! I would like to use it for one of my electronics project (that’s using it as a controller): is it possible to extend it in some way beeing able to continue to run ubuntu on it? (maybe through an USART or – and better – through PCIe, even x4)? Thanks!!
Will it be possible to flash a custom bootloader and linux os straight into the internal storage?
I believe so! Linux Os’s and custom boot loaders should be able to be installed to the nand with ease once images have been made available.
Does it support mpeg2 video (stream)?
That will depend on the system, you install on it
Hello, does it have any GPIO pins ? If so how many analog/digital what about pwm support etc. Thanks..
When will I get an answer to my E-Mail?
Extremely sorry Pfahli! Would you mind sending it again, do remember reading but for some reason can’t find it in our inbox
No problem, I will resend it
Awesome board and can’t wait to get one.
Could you post the physical dimensions of the board in the FAQ? I don’t see them anywhere.
Need Simcard-Slot.. Mobile Internet… Very nice for car PC
You can add a 3g USB dongle. Android is compatible with 3g dongles out of the box, we believe!
Very nice Thx
When will specifications of the board be available ?
Would I need this too, because I want to install this in my
very slow Android-laptop and therefore I need more
information about the specifications of LVDS and it would
be nice to know what the dimensions has pcb
